DORCH 1753) is run by Søren Bertil Fabricius Dorch, the son of Grete Boen Dorch and Jørgen Fabricius Dorch, grandson of Erik Fabricius Dorch, who was son of Paul Frederik Almar Fabricius Dorch, the son of Henrik Jensen Dorch, the great great grandson of the first hatter, Henrik Hendrichsen Dorch.
Søren Bertil is a passionate hat collector, hat-storian and hatmaker. He has a doctoral degree in astrophysics from the Niels Bohr Institute at University of Copenhagen while currently serving as Associate Professor and Library Director at University of Southern Denmark, based in Odense.
Søren Bertil Fabricius Dorch is a 'mad hat lover' who wears, collects and sell designer hats, both new and vintage.

Our company was founded by Henrik Dorch in Odense in 1753 and has specialized in the production and trade of hats for 9 generations. We have a strong connection to our family history and have always placed great emphasis on quality and craftsmanship in our products.
As a company with a long tradition, we have always taken pride in preserving and passing on our local history and cultural heritage in hat-making. We are proud of our connection to the Danish hat-making tradition and our affiliation with the famous poet Hans Christian Andersen, whom we consider to be our legacy Godson.
We believe that sustainability and recycling are the way forward, and therefore we are dedicated to using recycled hats and materials in the production of new hats. In this way, we contribute to reducing waste and preserving the environment, while creating unique and exclusive hats of high quality.
We have a wide range of hats in our assortment, and we can also repair and resell used hats, including vintage hats from Danish hat-makers. We take pride in our craftsmanship and quality in all our products and can guarantee that our hats will be a unique and elegant accessory to any wardrobe.

FAMILY LINEAGE
Established in 1753 by Henrik (Hendrich), the brand of the hat firm "Henrik Dorch" is among the oldest names in the hat business. Incidentally, Henrik's son Jens became the Godfather of world famous poet Hans Christian Andersen, a great hat lover himself.
